Buy with PayPal   Spring's Beauty    oil     6 x 16                                         I love to paint spring greens! It's a great time of year to get out some new colors. One of my favorites is Thalo Yellow Green. It can be bright, you have to tone it down a bit. It's fun to try and paint all the changes that spring brings.
This is my work in progress.
I love painting in the spring! I love to see all the changes that take place. All things becoming new again. It's what God does, brings dead things to life! It's a picture of what God does in the heart of man when he decides to follow Him. Nature is a mirror of what God wants to do in man. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Let God make all things new in your heart today.

Lunchtime sketches

I thought it would be nice to go back and look at some drawings I did last fall. I love barren trees. They are always a challenge! I love working with line and suggested details. That's what I love about impressionism is suggested details. These are quick sketches I also did on my lunch break. These are 20 minute sketches.
Some more quick stuff from my sketchbook! I took my paper and drew some small boxes maybe 2 inches by 3 inches, maybe 3 inches by 6. I didn't really measure just "eyeballed it". Just wanting to see what I could do in a short amount of time and not be too detailed. It's a fun exercise. Try it!  You may be suprised!
